Cheick Diallo signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Kansas next season a couple of weeks ago. The 6-9 power forward is a 5-star player and is ranked 7th in the nation by ESPN.
He was named MVP of the McDonald's All American game after scoring 18 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
Scouts say that Diallo plays hard all the time despite being raw offensively. He is a good leaper, he passes the ball well and can hit a mid-range jump shot.
Diallo picked Kansas over Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Louisville, UConn and Oregon among others. A native of Mali, Diallo came to the United States in 2012.
